The University of Government Coaching (UGC) is proud to announce approval from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) for the UGC curriculum as an accredited Approved Coach Specific Training Hours (ACSTH) Provider. This means that UGC has met the ICF standards as a provider of excellent training to support the continuing education requirements for coaches. We invite coaches to join us in the journey of continual learning.
ICF awarded UGC 146 coach hours if a participant completes all 4 modules (courses). The current modules in the UGC ACSTH program include:
1. UGC Coaching Foundations Course (CFC). 60 ACSTH hours. This is a basic introduction for those preparing to become a coach. It also is recommended for those who desire a deep dive into the ICF core coaching competencies.
2. UGC Certificate in Executive Core Qualifications (ECQ) Coaching (CEC). 40 ACSTH hours. This course is recommended for those who have completed some formal coach training on the core coaching competencies. It focuses on career coaching for clients who want to work on preparing for a leadership and or executive position with Government.
3. UGC Certificate on Government Coaching. 36 ACSTH hours. This course is recommended for those who have completed at least some formal coach training on the core coaching competencies. Each lesson features tools, resources and guidance for coaching on a major topic common to coaching in individuals and groups in Government.
4. UGC Certificate in Mentor Coaching (CMC). This course includes 10 hours of feedback to participants on their one on one coaching. It meets all ICF requirements for mentor coaching.
